The Lords of Skavendom emerge from the shadows. Here is the last part of the "End Times: Thanquol review!

This is it. My final part of the "Thanquol" review is finally here. So far this one's the best entry in the "End Times" series, apart maybe from the "Nagash". But how will its character section fare, when compared to other parts of this supplement? Thanquol is brimming with special characters. It has 4 versions of Verminlords, including one that is unique, buffed up Thanquol and a single dwarf hero, who's also an Incarnate. For the sake of this post I'll bhe reviewing only the named characters. Generic Verminlords will be covered in my "End Times" unit review, after the "Archaon". 1. Thanquol and Boneripper, Ascendant Grey Seer and Enhanced Bodyguard Finally he got the recognition that he deserves (photo by Arklight Studio) Gotrek and Felix's favorite Nemesis returns and he's better than ever! Costing a hefty 650 points, and sporting a combined profile with his bodyguard, Thanquol is a best in both m...

Jungles burn and Mountains fall. Here comes the "End Times: Thanquol"!

With Age of Sigmar coming closer with every day, it's finally time to finish my impromtu review (or trial) of the "End Times". The only books left are "Thanquol" and "Archaon". Today I'll review the rules presented in the former installment of the "End Times" saga. Just FYI I won't be doing any posts about Age of Sigmar (or 9th edition or whatever the hell it will be) until it eventually comes out. I don't belive the rumors in general and don't like to speculate based on some (usually very poor) snippets of information, gathered from various blogs and websites. When AoT gets released I'll do a post about it. Until then however let's stick to the "End Times" and see this review to its very end. Otherwise the Rats will get me However I do NOT have a good feeling about Age of Sigmar. Call me a pessimist but I just don't. Just like "Khaine" before it, "Thanquol" is quite hug...

Xathrodox86 reviews: "Chaos in the Old World"

A fun and challenging game, "Chaos in the Old World" lets you become one of the four (or five if you count the expansion) Chaos Gods, whose ultimate goal is the destruction of Warhammer world. However, as Chaos itself, it can be fickle and capricious, and to be honest, completely unfair. Now YOU can be a God too! I've played "Chaos in the Old World" back in 2009 with my former RPG group. It was a nice change from our weekly gaming sessions and it, along with "A game of Thrones" has shown me that board games can be just as fun to play as any PnP. That said I was rather surprised that during my first game ever I've managed to beat all three of my buds while playing Khorne. They've told me back then that it was perfecty normal and that not all Gods are equal. I was able toconfirm that claim, when I've bought the game myself, just a month ago. Since then I've played it twice and each time had a lot of fun doing so. That said, "Ch...
