Took me some time. As always. Anyway here's the continuation of the Ebenhard VII campaign. The bugs are still in the game, but both the Space Marines and the Inquisition have a few aces in their sleeves. This KT game was played between 3 players. The Imperials had a 250 pts armies, while Nid player had a total of 500, as well as a bigger HQ slot than his opponents. 1. Our Armies: A. Some time ago Black Library anounced the start of a new series, spanning the entire year 2016. Apparently it will concentrate on the biggest WAAAGH!!! in the history of the Imperium, right until the invasion of Ghazghkul. Every good or bad thing eventually comes to an end. The execs at Games Workshop know that and even tough they wish that Horus Heresy would go on forever and ever, one day it will end. Despite my feelings about this overblown series, I agree that when it'll finally hit the end, Black Library will be left with no strong follow up. That's why I've met the news about "The Beast arises" series with enthusiasm. Not only is it set a thousand years after the apocalyptic civil war, responsible for the grim darkness of 41st millenium, but also presents xenos as a credible threat to the Imperium, something that is less than common in Warhammer 40, 000 media lately. However there were some... troubling signs as well. Only the first book was written by...

You mad bro? A small talk about being butthurt in the grim darkness of the far future. Rant warning!

We need to talk dear 40K fanbase. We need to talk about your attitude, which lately has been... lacking to say the least. But first a daily reminder that Age of Sigmar a shit. Age of Sig....OH MY GOD, WHAT THE HELL IS THAT? Done. Now back to our scheduled program. I'll cut right to the chase, because I'm not in the mood to pan this one out. For the last couple of days the internet has been full of butthurt, whiny, nasal voiced assholes, complaining about "Mont'ka", the newest campaign addon for the Warhammer 40,000. The second part of the epic Tau vs Imperium campaign had made quite an impact on the 40K community worldwide, and by "impact" I meant "made a lot of Imperium fanboys butthurt like hell". Now before we go any further, I'd just like to point out two things. One: I'm an Imperium player myself. I have 3 armies dedicated to the glorious Emperor, two of which are Space Marines. Second thing: I don't play Tau, altou...

Steeming the tide: Astra Militarum and Adeptus Astartes take on the might of the Great Devourer!

Last weekend I've played my biggest game of WH40K yet, in which two imperial armies clashed against some Nids in a Last Stand scenario. The game took almost 9 hours from start to finish and was packed with pure awesomesauce. We've arranged a Last Stand mission from the "Stronghold Assault" supllement. Blood Ravens and Imperial Guard, each at 1500 pts., fought against the Tyranid Swarm, which was 3000 points strong. The game ended after 5 turns with the Imperials amassing 18-19 points, while the Bugs gathered a total of 11. Anyway: here's the full report with some nice pictures. Also it will be the first of a few linked bat reps, that will compose a narrative campaign of sorts, so stay tuned for more. As an added bonus, the report will be dramatized... a bit. The Great Devourer hungers! 1. Our armies A. Imperial Guard (1500 pts.) HQ: CCS with Mortar, 2 x Sniper Rifles and an Officer of the Fleet. Warlord Trait: Old Grudges (which I...

It's a busy week that we're having right now. "Vermintide" was launched on Steam, "Total War: Warhammer" recieved new trailer and "Horus Heresy" is (finally) moving forward... somewhat. Let's start with "Vermintide". I've been lucky enough to play a single hour of the public beta and my impressions were very, very good. Vermintide may actually bring me back to online gaming, something that even "Payday 2" failed to do. Game's a lot of fun. Yeah, it is basically "Left 4 Dead" dripped in medieval/reneissance sauce, but it works so damn well, it's almost astonishing. Transition from ranged to close combat with a big emphasis on looting and an excellent atmopshere - these are the trademarks of "Vermintide". There's a lot more of course. Music's moody and atmospheric, even if at first glance it can be a little out of place, especially during combat. For me one of the best things about th...
